Field for the Olympics and strawberries

A very productive day at stay & play and garden club.  We made a whole range of olympic junk puppets, and also puppets took part in story time and songs after.  We made up the story with the children, which (of course) ended on the olympic message, mate, 'It's more important to compete than to win'.

Strawberries are just turning red and juicy, and with a little weeding, lots of other fruit ripening nicely all over the garden.  Gardening tots also made Bob the Biker, the infamous pirate, among other Olympic puppets, as yet unnamed.  More puppet making tomorrow!

Sunshine, sand and picnics

Great day in the glorious sunshine - watering plants, playing with water and muddy puddle, first sand castles, and cut back that ivy.

Tea Dance inside, picnic outside

Apple trees covered in blossom buds, after sycamore cut down last year

Garden day in Easter hols

We're inviting everyone into our garden to have some fun and some find out your ideas for how you want our garden to look.  There'll be a few family activities and an opportunity for some gardening.  Tea, coffee, biscuits provided.

KHCC Stay & Play will also be open as usual during the school holidays, Thursdays 10 to 12.
